The ideas behind this insect:
For the Caddisfly, the transformation into a flying insect takes place under water, where the larva pupates in a homemade elongated tube, built from materials it finds on the lake bed. In this design, the pupa is rendered as an exquisite holster for the grand metamorphosis. Bearing in mind that it conceals the soft, vulnerable potential behind the exquisite holster and is “captured” at the stage where the mature insect is emerging from the pupa.
Habitat:
Shows the lake bed as a background, the brooch is designed on the still where the Caddisfly is on its way out of the pub and you can see the wings and the almost finished body sitting in the habitat.
Materialer:
Kobberramme, messing og aluminium, ophænget til brochen er af sølv.
