Thoughts behind this drone-insect:
The Treehopper Drone is inspired by a group of insects belonging to cicadas and tree-/leafhoppers. They often have a peculiar appearance, with large, distinctive horns and antennae. For this drone, I have borrowed elements from both the aviation industry and nature’s treehoppers.

My thoughts behind the four pollinator drones can be seen as a commentary on the decline of insects and the biodiversity crisis. When real insects are gone, and pollinators are still needed for crops and flowers, human-made “aliens” like this might become the solution.

Each of the drones has a helipad landing zone with a single letter. Together, they spell the word: HELP

Habitat:
Designed as a drone landing pad with the letter “H.”

Materials:
Copper frame, aluminum, and colored foil.
